As a reporter, Reed attends and shoots highlights of local high schools, collegiate, junior hockey games as well as produces feature stories for the 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. broadcasts. In her role as anchor, she writes, edits and produces all of the content for the sports block pulling from local, state and national highlights. During the high school calendar year, the Friday night broadcast expands for a 15-minute show, called "Sports Zone" which centers on local high school football, hockey, volleyball, soccer and basketball. Prior to the pandemic, the sports team would also conduct sit-down interviews with coaches and players for a sponsored "Game of the Week" digital segment. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Reed became a "utility-player" for the station. Some of the new roles Reed took on were News Reporter, Editor, Photographer and digital content producer. |
